Walked together, never ranked
You’ll see how the Tribe chose, but nobody’s keeping score.
Most walking apps turn every step into a number to beat. Here, at every fork in the story you’ll see how everyone else went before you make your own choice, because it’s good to know you’re not walking it on your own. Nobody’s ahead of you though, and a quiet week doesn’t reset anything. The story just waits for you to come back.

How it works
Curiosity can carry you further than a countdown ever could.
Every journey follows a real route, with a story told along the way that only moves when you do.
1. Walk wherever you like
Your real steps carry you along the real route, so a lap of your local park still gets you closer to the Tor.
2. The story finds you
Parts of the story unlock as you reach places on the route, and the first one arrives inside your first kilometre.
3. Choose where it goes
Pick who you walk with, and at each fork make a choice that changes what happens next.
The first journey
The Pilgrim’s Path, from Glastonbury to Stonehenge
About 90km of legend across Somerset and Wiltshire. There’s a cup said to be hidden somewhere near the Tor, a thorn tree that flowers at Christmas when it has no business doing so, and a village the army emptied in 1943 that nobody has lived in since. You walk it from your own street, and the story finds you along the way.

Glastonbury Abbey

Chalice Well

Wearyall Hill

Gog and Magog
Act 1, around Glastonbury. The road to Stonehenge carries on from there.

A moment from the route
From the Journey
Glastonbury Tor · Act 1
Long before anyone came looking for a cup, people said this hill was hollow, and that inside it was the hall of Gwyn ap Nudd, king of the fairies. A monk called Collen lived at the foot of it and grumbled about the fairy folk once too often. One evening there was a knock at his door, and a messenger invited him up the hill for dinner.

Why I built this
I spent years running charity challenge events, treks and cycle rides and fundraising trips, and the thing I noticed was that people didn’t light up about the medal at the end. They lit up telling the story of how they got there. Impact Tribe is my attempt at giving people that feeling on an ordinary Tuesday, without needing a plane ticket to Kilimanjaro. There’s no leaderboard and nobody watching your pace, just a story that keeps going for as long as you do.
